MAKERS MERIDAN CONN. U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL" on the top rib.LOP 14 1/4 inches, DAH 2 5/8 inches, Weight 7 pounds 12 ounces, Chokes RH cylinder, LH modified. Cased.
PGCA RESEARCH LETTER STATES THAT "Parker shotgun, serial number 124609, was ordered by Schoverling, Daly & Gales, 302 Broadway, NY on November 21,1904 and shipped on November 26, 1904. According to Parker Bros. Order Book No. 64, it was a VH hammerless, 12- gauge. It featured Vulcan steel barrels with a length of 30 inches. The requested chokes were RH cylinder, LH modified. The price was $50.00.
According to Parker Bros. Stock Book No. 44, the stock configuration was a capped pistol grip and it's specifications were: Length of Pull: 14 1/4", Drop at Heel: 2 5/8":, Weight: 7 pounds and 12 ounces.
According to Parker Bros. Order Book No. 89, the gun was returned on November 14, 1913 by the Virginia & Carolina Hardware Co., Richmond VA and to be sent to H.Y. Kaminer, Gadsden, SC. The order was to restock and repair action and locks. The price was $12.70."
CONDITION: Very Good Original Condition w/ 80% + original bluing & 60% + case hardening on action. Wood in excellent condition w/ no breaks or chips.
THIS A VERY UNIQUE PARKER IN THAT A HUNTING LICENSE WAS FOUND BEHIND THE BUTTPLATE MADE OUT TO 11 YEAR OLD GLENN AUGUSTUS KAMINER. PARKER RESEARCH LETTER SHOWS THAT THE GUN WAS SHIPPED TO AN H.V. KAMINER IN GADSDEN, SOUTH CAROLINA.
